About Playroom Hub

Playroom Hub is a free guide to setting up kids playrooms. We write about layouts, storage, toy rotation, small spaces and basic safety, in plain language and without product pitches.

What this site is

Playroom Hub collects practical ideas for families who want a playroom that is easy to use, easy to tidy and safe. The guides cover how to plan a room by age, how to divide it into play zones, which kinds of storage kids can manage, how to rotate toys, and how to fit play into a small home.

Not a store

Despite the .shop in our address, nothing is for sale here. We don't sell toys, furniture or storage, we don't take orders, and we don't run partner or affiliate links. We also don't name, rate, rank or recommend brands or specific products. When we describe a kind of storage or furniture, we describe the type, so you can find something that fits your home and budget.

Playroom Hub is not a toy maker, retailer, interior design firm, childcare provider or safety agency.

How we handle safety

Safety guidance changes, and product rules differ between countries. Our safety pages give general information on common playroom hazards, such as furniture tip-overs, cords and small parts. For current rules, recalls and detailed guidance, we point to official sources such as the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. Always follow the instructions that come with furniture and toys. For questions about your own child's health or development, talk to your pediatrician.

How we write

  • We stick to practical, widely accepted ideas and say when something is a rough guide.
  • Ages are approximate. Children grow at different rates, and you know your own child best.
  • We don't publish reviews, ratings, customer quotes or sponsored content.
  • We update pages when we find something unclear or out of date.

Who it is for

The guides are written for parents, grandparents and other caregivers setting up a play space at home, whether that is a whole room, a corner of the living room or one shelf in a shared bedroom. Most ideas work with furniture and boxes you already own.

Where to start

New here? Start with the layouts by age page, then read the safety checklist before you rearrange any furniture. If your toys are taking over, the toy rotation guide is a good next step. For tight spaces, see the small-space ideas.
